Silver Laced Wyandotte

Place of Origin – United States of America
Classification – Heavy, Large Fowl

The Wyandotte was first found in the 1883. There was only one at the start, the silver laced Wyandotte.

They soon became 13 colours of Wyandottes which are Buff Laced, Blue Laced, Gold Laced, Silver Laced, White, Red, Silver pencilled, Partridge, Columbian, Barred, Black, Blue and finally the Buff.

The males can grow to around 4kg and the females 3.2kg.

These birds will be available between September and November depending on the hatching process.

White Silkies

These great birds have to be my all time favourites, they are a good all round bird.

They are great layers, broodies and mothers.

They have very soft fluffy feathers and should have feathered legs and feet, they also can be bearded .

They come in six different colours which are Black, Blue, cuckoo, Gold, Partridge and white.

Males can grow to 1.8kg and females to 1.4kg.

These birds are very graceful, outstanding and friendly. They have the most bold colouring in the plumage. They are great pets and a good garden chicken.

The males grow to 5.5kg and the females 4.5kg

Appenzellers orginates from Switzerland.

They have great marking, very bright and independent.
